Job Description
    1. Job Details
    Position : Finance Controller/Manager
    Position Level : Management
    2. Objective/ Purpose of job:
    This management position will be responsible for managing the over-all Finance function while providing strategic support to the organization head, ensuring the delivery of profits and optimizing costs. The role will be responsible for compliance with all internal policies, processes and all regulatory (National & International) requirements.
    3. Education, Qualification and Experience:
    i) Degree from an accredited university with a major in business and accounting, MBA / Master in commerce is an added advantage.
    ii) CA or related certification a plus
    iii) 8  to 10 Years experience. With at least 3-4 years of experience in managerial position, preferably in the technology consulting industry
    iv) Excellent knowledge on accounting softwares such as QuickBooks/Tally etc.
    4. Decision Making Boundaries:
    i) Takes day to day operational decisions pertaining to the finance function.
    ii) Consults with next level up on all strategic decisions and decisions that have a financial impact to the business.

    6. Key Responsibilities
    a. Customer
    i) Maintain and manage positive working relationships with customers, principals and suppliers to ensure effective management of receivables/ payables
    ii) Provides relevant financial information to influence key commercial decisions
    iii) Interfaces with bankers, auditors or statutory regularities etc.
    b. People Management
    i) Ensures that new recruits are properly inducted into the operations
    ii) Sets performance objectives and KPIs for all assigned employees
    iii) Coaches, mentors and where required, conducts training of employees
    iv) Manages performance, taking corrective action, where required, on poor performers in line with policy
    v) Responsible for succession planning for the different roles within the department
    c. Analysis
    i) Analyzes information like competitor performance, market trends, product profitability, customer profitability etc. and provides inputs for the purpose of decision support
    ii) Analysis of variances versus budgets, last year on a monthly basis and variance strategic plans on a quarterly basis.
    iii) Analyses performance trends based on historical data for effective decision making.
    iv) Researching the different factors that influence business performances
    d. Operations
    i) Managing the accounting and monitoring systems for the division
    ii) Responsible for timely preparation and submission of financial plans, budgets and forecasts. Actively participates in the complete budget process.
    iii) Responsible for timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, yearly Management Reports and Financial Statements
    iv) Manages short and long term cash-flow position of the division
    v) Implement industry specific KPIs to monitor business performance.
    vi) Reviews and validates all agreements concerning financial obligations and other actions requiring a commitment of financial resources.
    vii) Ensures insurance coverage as required
    viii) Safeguarding of all the Fixed and Current Assets of the division. Also ensuring qualitative reporting of balance sheet components.
    ix) Develop and ensure proper internal control
    x) Implement accounting system which ensures smooth preparation of monthly accounts.
    xi) Payroll management
    xii) Ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements.
    xiii) Raise awareness in terms of managing the Business Risks.
    e. Strategy
    i) Formulates strategies to be used in the long-term financial plans for a business unit
    ii) Prepares and reports Project profitability for all existing and new projects.
    iii) Financial feasibility for acquisitions and or new business ventures.
