* Lead & responsible for NPD, Technology /Site transfer, & business continuity and cost optimization projects
* Project Management Skills, time and resource planning
* Thorough understanding of Pharmaceutical/Healthcare manufacturing process, controls, process engineering, Process investigation tools like 5WHY, FMEA, Fish Bone etc.
* Exposed to regulatory audits and Global Guidelines (WHO, ANVISA, MHRA, USFDA, ICH) - must have represented his team
SUMMARY
- Broad general technical management role with direct responsibility for managing a team of 6-8 skilled Process Technologists.
- Lead and responsible for NPD, Site Transfer, Monosource and Business Continuity projects for the site.
- To perform process technical development to achieve strategic imperatives and improve cost effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement of processes across the site.
- Leads and is responsible for process validation activities across the Healthcare Manufacturing sites in India.
- Ad-hoc technical support for Operations, including NCRs and support for Audits.
- Active member of site management team to ensure site KPIs are met.
SCOPE/DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
- Management of a team that delivers process technologies in the factory according to the Healthcare Technology Process.
- Works across functions to identify and deliver improvements (Squeeze, PPV, X-Trim)
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To manage a small team and ensure resources are allocated to meet key milestones and are aligned with business priorities.
- To lead and coordinate process validation across the site
- To initiate and implement process development and improvement in the areas of cost, quality and customer service
- To support the Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities providing technical support as required, working with the Regional Supply Heads to support global manufacturing and engineering strategies
- To continuously review manufacturing processes on the Hull site and at contract manufacturers to determine the most cost effective supply strategy, and to improve process capability.
- To ensure that the companys strategic imperatives as they relate to the Technical Department are implemented
- Management of projects and budgets and deadlines to ensure implementation of supply\technical strategy
KEY CHALLENGES
- Motivation and development of world class processing team.
- Representing Supply best interest cross-functionally.
- Making efficient and best use of resource to ensure business projects meet tight, often fixed deadlines
- Co-ordination of cross business project teams (NPD, Transfer, Monosource, Squeeze)
- Ad hoc support and troubleshooting of manufacturing technologies in the UK and globally
